I had been searching for a MagSafe non-charging mount that wasn’t a vent or dash mount (since dash mounts can cause overheating from the sun and vent mounts can when the a/c heat is used) since my phone charges during CarPlay hookup and discovered this product. I first tried to attach it to the spot where the push-to-start is on higher trims of my car models, which has a slight curved cap (pictured). The adhesive held for a few days, but due to never being in full contact with the surface the mount did eventually fall off. I attached it to a flatter spot (but not fully flat, as you can see) and, since the pad has some flexibility, it’s stayed in full contact without an issue. My phone hasn’t come off once - even on rough roads and hard stops - and the back tightens enough that my phone doesn’t end up drooping (an issue I’ve had with similar mounts in the past). I recommend cleaning the desired spot with an alcohol wipe first and waiting for that to dry so it will stick better.

Have gone through a few different mounts for phones to cars and motorcycles over the years. The Mighty Mount V.2 has surpassed my expectations and I am about to order another for our other car.
